As
time goes by technology has enabled the art of combining text and pictures. The
application of this art is not limited in advertisements, newspapers or
booklets. I understand that graphic design can be physical and even digital.
Furthermore, it concentrates on broadcasting the message virtually. This
implies that every graphic design art as a special message and a unique outcome
from the message. These messages are not limited to promoting goods and
services, disseminating information and displaying valuable information. I know
graphic design is all around. The art facilitates expressing concepts in a
perfect channel using artistic ways of narrating stories. Therefore, I can define
graphic design is the skill of combing colours, pictures, and other elements to
communicate a message beyond spoken words.
This has made the art to be used widely. Some of the application of
graphic design I find common include online cards, greetings cards, clothing
designs and album covers (Apryl Duncan, 2019)..
Most websites and blogs prefer to use
graphic design as a means of promoting themselves. It is useful especially in
making the sites attractive and therefore creating more traffic.
Greetings
cards are becoming more common in modern society. This implies that graphic
design will make them be of quality, therefore, making them effective. I will
prefer well-designed wedding cards since they are capable of making the wedding
to look more elegance.
Most
traders especially dealing with T-shirts and design clothes are using graphic
design to add value to their products. Graphic design makes the clothing to be
attractive and has unique taste thus, increasing its demands (Apryl Duncan,
2019).
Graphic design is a game-changer in the
film and music world. It has made it possible for a designer to create flyers
and posters to hype the events. It is common now that every good album must be
accompanied by a creative album cover.
Having
this information in mind, I intend to analyse numerous graphic design concepts
that I consider fascinating and exceptional. Character concepts have had many
great concepts but a girl with a flower and underwater explorer has been
exceptional. They are common in the mobile and video arts. The illustrations
have more than one character and each is designed uniquely. This enables gamers
to recognize each character easily. An illustration of a girl with a flower the
art is based on the flat design that is manifested in simple shapes and visual
components. Moreover, regardless of the application of fewer techniques, the
art perfectly has a bright and warm experience like in the springtime. The art
also has a colour palette that displays a young girl’s compassion and cleanliness.
Finally, the background contains a shadow granting the flat picture
extreme-coloured outlook (Alina Arshapova).
Another
character concept that stood up for me is an underwater explorer. It is also a
flat illustration. Here the art is design in such a way that there are numerous
applications of techniques. These techniques facilitate a combination of the
classic and more recent mechanisms to flat art. The art has few shapes and also
uses noise texture across the design. It has a vivid contrast to create a good
visual. This is because it has a dark background and bright elements.
Another category of graphic design
concepts that I perceived exceptional is city illustrations. The painting is
showing the beautiful outlook of different cities across the world. They
include Hallo Lofoten, Buongirio Roma among many more city illustrations.
Hallo
Lofoten design is a representation of Lofoten city found in Norway. The
designer was inspired to come up with the design because of the city’s amazing
colours, environment, tall buildings and mountains. The design has a unique
concept of making the illustration to appear as though it has been framed like
stamps used in the letter envelopes. For the illustration to feel more natural
the designer did employer lines in the water to act as brightness of amazing
mountains. Moreover, the brightness of various colours creates a unique
atmosphere (Alina Arshapova).
City
illustration also creates an illustration of Rome. There is the employment of
the technique of mixing different colours to give the design the same contrasts
as the Rome city. This is enabled by mixing blue and yellow colours. The design
went further and creates simple shapes to represent the famous building to make
them be easily recognized. Finally, it uses tones to come up with shadows and
lights o the landmark (Alina Arshapova).
Summarily, I can say that graphic design
as a deep empathy. It is capable of providing a solution that addresses people
needs. It can identify with an individual’s perspective, emotions and even
objectives. Moreover, good designers should source for empathy insights
regarding their target group before creating any design. Therefore, I consider
graphic design as good art in many areas with many benefits. The benefits includes
professionalism, consistency, communication, increases sales among many more.
